Here is what some of you had to say about your experience with Senior CIYT Brian Hogencamp’s workshop that we hosted in early May.
Brian brought a new level of awareness to my practice. Complete with stories and anecdotes from his time studying with the Iyengars in India, his sequences are smart, his instructions are clear, his eye for adjustments are well-honed, and his classes are fun. What's more, he brings a depth of knowledge and experience from his own practice of the yoga sutras, which inspired me to continue to integrate all limbs of yoga into my practice.
I found Brian to be incredibly inspiring. As a teacher myself, I could really appreciate how he was able to embody in his teaching the three C’s: Confidence, Clarity, and Compassion. His knowledge of therapeutics was spot on. Several students, including me, were given special set ups for various conditions. And he gave us these set ups in such a genuine caring way. During the breaks, I had the opportunity to ask him a few questions. He was always generous with sharing his knowledge while respecting what I had to offer leading to a very meaningful dialogue. He is the true embodiment of what yoga is about.
